Lee County hurricane guide

Lee County Fire & Emergency Services protects the county, Leesburg, and Smithville from fire and natural or man-made hazards and runs advanced life support ambulances from each station. The county's site does not publish an alert signup or a separate emergency management page, so use the numbers below.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

Lee County's site does not publish shelter information. Check county announcements and local news, and do not go to any site until the county announces it.

Cities and towns

Each city has its own services and some have their own alerts. The county's evacuation zones, evacuation centers, and emergency alerts cover everyone, in every city and in unincorporated areas.
