Ventura County hurricane guide¶
The Ventura County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services runs Ready Ventura County and VC Alert. The county says winter storms can bring excessive rainfall and flooding, and it points residents to vcemergency.com for trusted and timely disaster information. Burn areas shed water faster, so flooding can be worse there. Tropical storm remains can bring heavy rain.
