Sullivan County hurricane guide

The Sullivan County Department of Emergency Management (EMA) plans for natural and man-made disasters for the county's citizens, cities, and communities, and also leads the county's Local Emergency Planning Committee and hazard mitigation plan. Sullivan County is inland, so storm risks come from flooding, flash flooding, and heavy rain, including from the remains of tropical storms. The county's EMA page does not publish evacuation or shelter instructions or an alert signup, but it links to National Weather Service Morristown and the county's Hazard Mitigation Plan.
