Lyford hurricane guide

Lyford is a small city on State Highway 448 in central Willacy County, in the Rio Grande Valley. Hurricanes and tropical storms that reach the Valley can bring high winds and heavy rain and flooding here. The city has its own police and fire departments and runs its own water system.
