Alton hurricane guide¶
Alton is a city in western Hidalgo County, north of Mission in the Rio Grande Valley. Heavy rain, flooding, and high winds from hurricanes and tropical storms are its main dangers. The city has its own police and fire departments and runs garbage collection, while Sharyland Water Supply Corporation provides water.
