The Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency, at 201 Mill Street in St. Matthews, plans for severe weather and other hazards in the county. Calhoun County is inland, so its storm risks are flooding from heavy rain and river rises, high winds, and tornadoes. The agency runs a CodeRED alert system and a free county EMA app for alerts, weather, and damage reporting.
