Hertford hurricane guide¶
Hertford is the county seat of Perquimans County, on the Perquimans River near Albemarle Sound, so river flooding, storm surge, and wind are its main hurricane dangers. The town is a public power town and runs its own electric, water, and sewer systems. Its fire department is made up of volunteers.
