Burgaw hurricane guide¶
Burgaw is the county seat of Pender County, inland from the coast, so heavy rain, flooding, and wind are its main hurricane dangers. The town has its own police and fire departments and runs its own water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.

- Storm debris collection: Regular yard debris pickup is on Mondays and Fridays. Place limbs and yard waste along the right of way, out of the street. Debris left by a paid contractor is not picked up. Watch town alerts for storm cleanup instructions. Website.
