Jasper County hurricane guide¶
The Jasper County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) works with the Jasper County 911 Center in Monticello. The county provides CodeRED alerts at no cost, runs outdoor tornado warning sirens that it tests every Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., and advises keeping a NOAA weather radio inside your home because the sirens are meant to be heard outdoors.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Jasper County's EMA page describes sirens, tornado watches and warnings, and Ready Georgia. It does not publish hurricane evacuation shelters. Check CODE RED alerts and the county site, and do not go to any site until the county announces it.
Cities and towns¶
Each city has its own services and some have their own alerts. The county's evacuation zones, evacuation centers, and emergency alerts cover everyone, in every city and in unincorporated areas.
