Candler County hurricane guide¶
The Candler County Emergency Management Agency handles mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery for natural and man-made hazards. Its page is hosted on the Sheriff's Office website. The county offers a voluntary Vulnerable Population Registry for people who may need help during hurricanes, severe weather, or long power outages. Candler is inland, so the county publishes no hurricane evacuation zones.

What to know in Candler County¶
- The Candler County EMA registry asks people who depend on electricity for medical equipment, have limited mobility, live alone, or lack reliable transportation to register. The county says registering does not guarantee services and you should still have a personal plan.
