Calhoun County hurricane guide¶
Calhoun County's website does not list an emergency management agency or hurricane guidance. The county's contact list gives the Board of Commissioners in Morgan, county EMS, and the Sheriff's Office. Calhoun is inland in southwest Georgia and can see heavy rain and tornadoes from tropical storms.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Calhoun County's website does not publish shelter or evacuation guidance. Check with the Board of Commissioners and local news in a storm, and do not go to any site until it is announced.
