Longwood hurricane guide¶
Longwood is an inland city in south Seminole County with its own police and fire departments and city water and sewer service. The city opens its own Emergency Operations Center when needed and sends staff to the Seminole County EOC. Hurricanes here bring high winds, tornadoes, and flooding.

What to know in Longwood¶
- If a storm makes your home uninhabitable after a state of emergency, state law and the city allow one temporary shelter, such as an RV or trailer, on your property while you rebuild, with a permit. Call Community Development at 407-260-3462 for details.
