South Pasadena hurricane guide¶
South Pasadena is a small city on Boca Ciega Bay in south Pinellas County, where storm surge and flooding are the main hurricane dangers. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office provides police service under contract, and the city's Public Safety Department runs fire rescue and hurricane preparedness.

What to know in South Pasadena¶
- In past seasons the city has opened a free self-serve sandbag station on weekends behind the City Hall Annex, 6940 Hibiscus Avenue South, entering from Bignonia Avenue South, with a limit of 10 bags per household. Watch city news for dates.
- Sandbags can help with minor flooding but will not protect you from storm surge. Evacuate when told to.
