Marianna hurricane guide¶
Marianna is the largest city in Jackson County. It has its own police and fire rescue departments, and the city runs water, sewer, and natural gas service. If you smell gas, leave the building before you call.

What to know in Marianna¶
- If you smell natural gas, leave the building right away. From a safe place, call 911 and the city at 850-482-4129. After hours, call the Marianna Police Department at 850-526-3125. Do not use switches or start a car near the leak.
- The city collects yard trash every two weeks. Put it at the curb in one pile, not in the street or near power poles, with limbs no more than eight inches across and eight feet long. Larger limbs and stumps need a special pickup; call Public Works to schedule one.
