Moore Haven hurricane guide¶
Moore Haven is the county seat of Glades County, on the southwest shore of Lake Okeechobee where the Caloosahatchee River begins. Hurricanes here bring strong wind, heavy rain, and flooding, and people in mobile homes and RVs must leave for every county evacuation order. The city runs its own electric, water, and wastewater service.
