Penney Farms is a small town of about 850 residents in Clay County, along State Road 16. The town runs its own water utility, sewer collection, and garbage pickup.

What to know in Penney Farms¶

• FEMA is updating Clay County's flood insurance rate maps. Most properties will not change, but some will be added to or removed from high-risk flood areas, so check your property's flood zone.
• The town picks up bagged leaves and limbs cut to 4-foot lengths at the curb. Large yard debris needs a paid special pickup arranged through Town Hall, and debris from a tree company you hire is yours or the company's to haul away.
