Indian Beach hurricane guide¶
Indian Beach is a small beach town on Bogue Banks, a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and Bogue Sound, next to the Salter Path community. Storm surge, flooding, and wind are the main dangers, and Bogue Banks is usually ordered to evacuate first. The town has its own police department, and the Indian Beach and Salter Path Fire Department is staffed around the clock.
